Spring/Fall Bear Hunting Packages (Rifle Or Bow Hunts)

The spring bear hunt commences May 1 through to June 15.  The fall bear hunt commences August 15th (bow and rifle) and runs through to the end of September. Tree stands are baited three to four weeks prior to the hunters’ arrival and re-baiting is continued as necessary to maintain active stands.  We provide two stands per hunter.

As black bears are more active in the early morning and late afternoon, we put our hunters on stand between 3 and 4 pm for the first few days of the hunt. This allows you to have all morning to fish and relax (included in the package). It is optional to be on your stands in the early morning, then return to fish for a few hours and return to your stand in the late afternoon. You will be picked up shortly after sunset.

Bear Hunt Information

Caribou Falls Lodge offers some of the best territory for Black Bear hunting in Northwestern Ontario.  We regulate over 200 square miles of Bear Management Area with baited tree stands that are accessible by water. Our success rate has averaged at 85% over the past ten years.  To ensure a successful hunt for all, we book a maximum of 6 hunters per week.

Our bow and rifle stands have cleared shooting ranges of 10-100 yards. Stands are 5-25 feet high and are built amongst three to four trees to allow for a sturdy deck and a rail. Bear stands are located 200-600 yards from the shoreline and many are located in creek beds on the opposite side of the river and well away from the lodge. Our experienced guides will track and dress your bear. View our bear hunt photos.

PLEASE CONTACT US AT LEAST 30 DAYS BEFORE YOUR HUNT TO ENSURE PROPER BORDER CROSSING PROCEDURES, FIREARM DOCUMENTATION AND FOR CANADIAN HUNTING REGULATIONS. PLEASE NOTE; THIS IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
